This show idea is hilarious.

This show idea is hilarious. It would be dangerous because they probably would try to do it anyway than risk shame upon themselves. It would be interesting to see into the logic process of a suicide bomber.

great idea

Brilliant idea, survivor for extremists, and the winner gets to go home and tell his family what an idiot he is for so vehemently yearning to slaughter people just because they are different. I recently watched the indie documentary, Islam: What the West Should Know, it's not out on DVD yet, but it was chilling. Extremists are the norm basically, and everyone else is pretending. Check out my blog at, http://underdogs.wordpress.com , for some more satire on anything and everything.

it's root cause

hi, :)

i have to say if people really care to extinguish wars, people should understand there is a root cause to their resistance. it is not caused by Islam. say American soldiers fight in Iraq, & they're Christians -- would one call it Christian militancy?

if terrorism is illegal, is the Iraq war even legal? if occupation on palestinian land illegal? what differentiates the bombing & murders & killing. just because labels.

labels are dangerous.

i hope people can seek the root cause. thanks.

where is the love

hi, :)

to be honest, the first time i read it it hurts me. i guess i can ask people to educate their own self, but it's their own will to do it. for me, Islam should never have been unfairly linked with extremism & militancy. & these too simple concepts of jihadists or heaven. it's unbelievable that people don't educate themselves & make fun of another's religion.

anyway, i guess i'll be fasting, so i should not spend time with sad stuffs. i had read your blog, but this one strikes me at the heart. but if good comes, it makes me love Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) more.

i hope you a nice day anyway. peace & God Bless.

I'm not anti-Muslim

I am genuinely sorry that my post caused you distress.

I viewed the article as humor at the expense of people who use religion to justify violence, not against Muslims or religious people in general. I am well aware that most religious people are not violent and that all religions (including Christianity and Judaism) have violent adherents.

I share your concern about religious and ethnic discrimination. One of the first things I did after September 11 was make a donation to the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee.

Humor has been effective against terrorist groups, such as the Ku Klux Klan. My quarrel is with the small minority who use religion to justify violence or other hateful behavior (such as self-proclaimed Christian Fred Phelps) and not the far greater number of people whose religious beliefs bring out the best in them.

Your mention of humor and

Your mention of humor and the Ku Klux Klan brings to mind the periodic "Moon the Klan" rallies.

When the fifty Klansmen appeared (they were bused in from Waco) in front of the state capitol, they were greeted by five thousand locals who had turned out for a "Moon the Klan" rally. Citizens dropped trou both singly and in groups, occasionally producing a splendid wave effect. It was a swell do. - Molly Ivins

There's something deliciously ironic, too, in turning around Phelps' hate-mongering appearances into successfull fund raisers for the groups he protests.
